Biography

First assembled to bring joy to Craig & Sara’s annual Jannukah Party, the Klein Party explores Top One Million songs from all the Old Countries. This clarinet-saxophone-trumpet-accordion-ukulele-bass sextet with vocalists, brings a jazz sensibility to klezmer freylachs and bulgars, Yiddish theatre music, gypsy dance music, sentimental Italian tunes, heart-rending fados, novelty Americana, Duke Ellington classics, movie themes, tangos, country-and-western favorites, Japanese folks songs, the rich book of Phillip Johnston, hip-moving cha-cha-chas, and the occasional opera aria.
